Peranakan Festival

Stressing Chinese culture rooted in Indonesia, the Chinese "Peranakan" Festival provides spark Batam tourism, province of Riau Archipelago from 2 to 4 November 2012 held at the Mall Kepri.

"Peranakan" which literally means mixed ancestry is a term used for the descendants of Chinese immigrants who came to the islands of Indonesia, and from 15th and 16th century.
